Yin yoga is a deeply grounding and calming practice, much needed in today’s ‘rat race’ society.

It is a more meditative practice with the focus on the breath and opening into the connective tissue that surrounds the muscles and joints, helping to increase circulation and flexibility. Yin is about cultivating a sense of inner peace and about surrendering to what is without trying to change it or fix it. Poses are held for between 3 to 5 minutes with as much support (bolsters, blocks, cushions and straps) as is needed in order to feel completely supported so that tension can be released completely.
